Gary Jackson  Senior HR Consultant

Gary is an experienced HR Professional, having over 16 years experience of managing people, the last 11 of which have been at a senior level in HR. As a HR Consultant, Gary demonstrates a hands-on, practical approach, adapting to the needs of the client’s business to provide flexible and pragmatic solutions to client companies.

Gary has an extensive background in the provision of HR services to outsourced clients, ranging in size from SMEs to organisations in excess of 1000 employees. He has managed complex grievance, harassment and disciplinary situations, with experience of chairing mediation meetings and managing challenging employee relations issues in both unionised and non unionised environments.

Other areas of expertise include the implementation of change management programs, such as rationalisation and restructuring processes, the design of bespoke contracts of employment, policies and procedures, recruitment & selection exercises, the design and implementation of performance management systems, coaching line managers in the fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, and providing training in areas such as discipline & grievance, and dignity at work.

Gary joined the thinkpeople team in 2011, after having previously worked as a HR / Organisational Development Manager for a large professional services firm. Prior to this, Gary worked as a HR Consultant providing outsourced HR management services to a wide client base. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
