Hollywood & Donnelly Ltd

Hollywood & Donnelly is part of the C&C Group plc, a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of cider. The company also distributes niche spirits and liqueur brands across a number of international markets.

The Business Objectives

Hollywood & Donnelly required interim support to cover a period of leave and to manage a TUPE transfer and reorganisation process.

Further to the sale of the soft drinks business to Britvic plc, Hollywood & Donnelly needed to identify employees for transfer and implement a TUPE for employees not transferring to Britvic plc. In addition, a reorganisation was required to align the organisation with the new business plans and objectives. Key to this was continuing to manage existing employees and ongoing change initiatives.

thinkpeople were instrumental in facilitating the successful implementation of a number of organisational changes that were complex, deliverable in a short timeframe and potentially a risk to the business in the short-term.

As a company we had several objectives:-

1. To comply with all legislative requirements
2. To deliver best practice
3. To maintain business momentum in both organisations
4. To effect change with the utmost consideration for the employees involved

thinkpeople worked extremely hard with our own management team to ensure that all these objectives were met. In doing this, they demonstrated a top-level understanding of the HR implications of change, a highly planned approach to making the changes happen and a strong desire to push the agenda to an early and successful conclusion. The commitment demonstrated to our organisation was absolutely first rate and a vital ingredient in a successful conclusion of the project.
