Senior Talent Development Consultant

 We are looking an ambitious individual who wants to commit to an active role in the development and growth of Think People. You will be energised by continuously improving Think People’s services, keeping an eye on the bigger picture and developments in our profession and delivering world standard learning and development programmes and solutions for our clients.

The suitable applicant will be passionate about talent development and experienced in design and delivery, as well as applying current thinking to creating learning experiences that are personally impactful and drive sustainable change. You will be energised by variety, the opportunity to work across a range of industry sectors, to challenge the status quo and deliver brilliant results for our clients.

You will join the Organisation and Talent Development Team, we are fast paced with a passion for building on our foot print as the go to name for professional learning and development programmes with a difference, and a niche provider of deep OD expertise.

Role Profile

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the direction and development of the Talent Development services provided by Think People.
  • Support development of the Think People way and our ongoing differentiators as a professional learning provider.
  • Design inspired programmes that align with each client’s strategy, culture and specific needs at any time, deliver results and sustained benefit.
  • Deliver programmes and workshops, bringing energy, enthusiasm and depth to the delegate experience.
  • Develop strong, long lasting client relationships to grow and maintain our existing relationships.
  • Help grow the business through the introduction of new clients and developing or supporting completion of tenders and proposals.
  • Manage larger projects ensuring a proactive and structured approach that provides certainty and confidence to our clients and a smooth professional experience to delegates.
  • Research current practices, trends, innovation and learning methodologies and translate these as relevant to how we work.
  • Provide input and support to the development of the team and wider organisation.

Essential

  • 3rd level education OR 7 years’ experience in a professional work environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Talent Development.
  • Evidence of ownership for design and delivery of development programmes across a range of levels.
  • Experience of owning projects and managing to completion.
  • Flexible to travel to client sites across the Island of Ireland and UK when necessary.
  • Driving license

Desirable

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification, e.g., MSc in Occupational/ Organisational Psychology.
  • Experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Experience in more than one organisation.
  • Experience in more than one sector.
  • Broader OD experience.
  • Qualified in delivery of psychometric tests.

Organisation & Talent Development Consultant

The suitable applicant will have experience in a HR / People department in the OD and Talent area.  You will be excited by the rare opportunity to work across both areas alongside experts, growing your expertise while developing solutions for clients across a range of industry sectors. You’ll be driven and self-motivated, with the confidence and capability to manage your own projects while supporting senior consultants in the delivery of larger more complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and qualifications, ideally with a minimum of 3 year’s relevant experience, preferably in more than one sector and with time in a professional services environment. Previous OD experience would be an advantage.

The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver OD or learning projects for nominated clients.
  • Support Senior Consultants in the design, delivery and review of a range of OD and Talent Development initiatives.
  • Manage your accounts in line with our high standards, providing exceptional service, quality and delivery to all clients.
  • Support growth of the business through developing proposals, supporting tender compilation and looking for opportunities to engage with new clients.
  • Seek to continually develop and remain informed about current thinking and developments in our field.
  • Provide input and support to the development of the team and wider organisation.

Essential

  • 3rd level education OR 5 years’ experience in a professional work environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional work environment with relevant OD / Talent experience.
  • Experience of assessing needs, and working with stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Ownership of discrete projects, with evidence of a range of projects within the OD / Talent areas.
  • Experience of directly working with and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Driving license with ability to travel to client sites across the Island of Ireland and UK when necessary.

Desirable

HR Consultant (Junior)

The ideal HR Consultant will possess in-depth knowledge of human resource management and employment law, and will equally be eager to learn new skills and challenge their existing approaches to delivering results.  You will be a strategic thinker, problem solver and will have excellent communication skills with a record of taking ownership to manage HR projects to their conclusion.

Role Profile

 Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the highest quality HR/ER support and advice to Think People’s clients across the breadth of operational HR functions.
  • Lead existing and new client relationships.
  • Retention of current clients through exceptional service, expert advice and support.
  • Design, develop and implement of policies, procedures and processes that provide up to date and best practice foundations for day to day people management.
  • Provision of onsite support to clients on a full range of HR requirements including disciplinary, grievances and other employee related issues.
  • Advise and provide hands on support to implementation of organisational reviews, reorganisations and redundancy programmes.
  • Advise, design and support recruitment and selection processes relevant to client needs.
  • Bring new thinking to organisations to allow the development of their HR function, to support best practice, develop successful leaders and add value.
  • Build long term, lasting relationships to become a trusted advisor, supporting clients through challenges and opportunities.
  • Business development, including involvement in commercial activities to develop and market our services to new and existing clients.

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional work environment with HR generalist experience and a strong technical background and evidence of delivering HR projects and providing on the ground support and advice.
  • 3rd level education in a relevant subject.
  • Experience of planning and implementing HR change projects e.g. job evaluation, reorganisations and TUPE.
  • Experience designing, implementing and advising on HR best practice on policies, procedures and processes, including the delivery of training for managers and business stakeholders.
  • Strong experience providing managing employee issues, providing advice and investigating performance, absence, grievance and disciplinary issues including complex case management.
  • Implementing projects that deliver results to deadline and on budget.
  • A driving license with ability to travel to client sites across the Island of Ireland and Britain when necessary

Desirable

  • 2:1 or higher in  HR, Law or Business related subject
  • 3 years experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Awareness of RoI and GB employment law.
  • Developing and implementing performance management systems that meet the unique needs of different clients.
  • Advising on and designing and implementing bespoke recruitment and selection procedures and assessment approaches.
  • Implementing Organisation and People development initiatives and programmes.

Think People Trainee Consultant

Role Profile

Key responsibilities:

While you may have an opportunity to work across the business, specific projects and activities will be dependent on the division you work with, HR or OD and Talent Development. Broad responsibilities may include;

  • Provide day to day support to the consultancy team in delivery of projects to ensure efficient and professional delivery of exceptional results for our customers.
  • Co-ordination and administration of professionally planned and managed consultancy projects / people development programmes.
  • Development of project materials including research, written reports and developing or professionalising client materials from slides to project packs.
  • Marketing support including communications and social media.
  • Event management including management of recruitment, delegate engagement, bookings and logistics.
  • Tender and proposal writing.
  • Development and implementation of compliant and industry relevant policies, procedures and processes that provide up to date and best practice foundations for day to day people management. (HR Consultancy)

Essential

  • 3rd level qualification in HR, Business or Law or other related subject / relevant qualification. Minimum of 2:1
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of delivering projects and or customer support.
  • Flexible to travel to client sites across the Island of Ireland and Britain when necessary.
  • A driving license.

 Desirable

  • Experience working in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • 1 year work experience, either a placement year or post-graduation.
  • Awareness of HR practices and employment law (HR Consultancy) / experience or demonstrable interest in OD / learning and development.

Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing needs or requirements.

We have two opportunities in our accelerated Human Resources and Organisation Development programme.
