Role overview

The ideal HR Consultant will possess in-depth knowledge of human resource management and employment law, and will equally be eager to learn new skills and challenge their existing approaches to delivering results.  You will be a strategic thinker, problem solver and will have excellent communication skills with a record of taking ownership to manage HR projects to their conclusion.

 The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivery of the highest quality HR/ER support and advice to Think People’s clients across the breadth of operational HR functions
  • Lead existing and new client relationships
  • Retention of current clients through exceptional service, expert advice and support
  • Design, development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes that provide up to date and best practice foundations for day to day people management
  • Provision of onsite support to clients on a full range of HR functions including disciplinary, grievances and other employee related issues
  • Advise and provide hands on support in respect to organisational reviews, reorganisations and redundancy programme implementation
  • Advise, design and support recruitment and selection processes relevant to client needs
  • Bring new thinking to organisations to allow the development of their HR function, support best practice, develop successful leaders and add value
  • Build long term, lasting relationships to become a trusted advisor, supporting clients through challenges and opportunities
  • Business development, including involvement in commercial activities to develop and market our services to new and existing clients

Essential

  • A HR generalist, with a strong technical background and evidence of delivering HR projects and on the ground support to advice
  • Developing and implementing HR change projects including, for example, Job evaluation, reorganisations and TUPE
  • Designing, implementing and advising on HR best practice on policies, procedures and processes, including the delivery of training for managers and business stakeholders
  • Strong experience providing advice on and managing and investigating employee issues including performance, absence and grievance and disciplinary issues including complex case management
  • Implementing projects that deliver results to deadline and on budget
  • A driving license with ability to travel to client sites across NI, RoI and UK when necessary

Desirable

  • 3rd level education in a HR or Business related subject or other relevant qualification
  • Experience in a consultancy or similar environment
  • Awareness of RoI and GB employment law
  • Developing and implementing performance management systems that meet the unique needs of different clients
  • Advising on and designing and implementing bespoke recruitment and selection procedures and assessment approaches
  • Implementing Organisation and People development initiatives and programmes

  • A strong relationship builder with experience of working with varied stakeholders developing long lasting professional relationships
  • Totally customer driven and focused on delivering results

You will be placed on a 12 to 24 month development programme designed to build your HR and/or OD knowledge, fast tracking growth of your technical, consultancy and personal skills. In return for this kind of investment, we have high expectations. The ability to work in a fast paced environment while ensuring the highest quality and customer experience while ensuring achievement of your objectives is key.

You will provide support to our senior consultants and customers in person, over the telephone and via email. The ongoing opportunities to develop within the role and across the business are superb. The ideal candidate will be a HR, Business or law graduate, ideally with between 1 – 3 years work experience gained in a professional services environment. HR or OD previous work experience would be an advantage.

 

Trainee HR Consultant

Trainee Consultant, Organisation & People Development

 Role overview

The right person for the Organisation & People Development Consultant will be passionate about OD and ideally have some relevant experience.

If you are eager to learn and are motivated by working with clients across a range of industry sectors, sizes and with varying needs and contexts this role will be of interest to you.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Design of innovative and results driven Leadership, team and graduate development programmes
  • Delivery of consultancy support to varied projects across the organisation and people development portfolio
  • Manage the administration of the Organisation and People Development project portfolio through an organised, efficient and client centric service
  • Retention of current clients through exceptional understanding of their needs, delivery of results focussed services and strong relationships
  • Development of ‘products’ and services utilising current research and trends, innovative thinking and learning methodologies to maintain Think People’s reputation as a thought leader and provide a range of solutions for clients current and future needs
  • Business development, including involvement in commercial activities to develop and market Think People with new and existing clients

Essential

  • 3rd level education in a HR or Business related subject or other relevant qualification
  • Evidence of delivering projects and or customer support experience
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Driving license with ability to travel to client sites across the Island of Ireland and UK when necessary

Desirable

  • Experience in a consultancy or similar environment
