Victim Support – Leadership Team Facilitation
Victim Support NI saw a need to provide development and support to their Managers around identified areas. They wanted a practical, bespoke and appropriately pitched programme that would engage managers to reflect on their current effectiveness and be motivated to consider alternative and consistent approaches to engaging their teams.
Further to initial conversations and recommendations, Think People met with the CEO and Head of HR to really understand the drivers behind the needs, the current context in the organisation and what outputs would make the programme a success.
When we felt we really understood the drivers and dynamics a programme outline and learning approach was designed and agreed with Victim Support NI. On completion of content this was reviewed by Victim Support NI and amendments made to ensure the most relevant content.
Roll out was over one day and involved a range of approaches to learning including internal case studies, exercises, paired and group work.
“Think People were very quickly able to interpret what we wanted to achieve with our managers and designed a programme that was interesting, relevant and, most importantly, practical. We all came away with easy tools to use and have all been able to put them to practice. It was refreshing to have an external consultant who was interested in our organisation, our people and what we are trying to achieve strategically. They have made a difference in a very short space of time.”
Helen Claney, Head of HR, Victim Support
Further to this, Victim Support NI have worked with Think People to design and facilitate a Leadership Team Strategy Engagement and Communication planning day. The outcomes were very positive, the team were re-energised and we took a way a plan for roll out.
We will continue to work with Think People in the future.
